PRIVACY
Effective 24 September 2026.
Hole High: Daily Golf (formerly Pin High) is a free daily golf game made by Lukus Reindl, an individual developer. It has no ads, no purchases and no tracking. It collects as little as it can: no name, no email address, no location, no contacts and no advertising identifier.
WHAT IS COLLECTED
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| A random Profile ID, created the first time you open the app, and a login token for it (stored on our server only as a hash) | To keep your Results, Streak and Aces, and to let your phone send them to our server. |
| Your Handle: a name like "Arctic Green #87", picked from our own word lists. You can change it, but you can't type one. | To show you on the Boards without using your real name. |
| Your shots: for each Attempt, the timing of your swing, the resulting power and where the ball finished, with the time, app version and platform | To work out your Result on our server (so everyone's is scored the same way), for the Boards, and to spot automated play. |
| If you sign in with Apple: the anonymous user ID Apple gives us. We don't ask Apple for your name or email address. | To put you on the Boards and to keep your Profile if you change phones. |
| Usage events: that the app was opened, which screens were shown, first-time steps, share button taps; and error reports if the app hits a bug (the error message and which screen). Each carries your Profile ID, the app version and the platform. | To see whether the game works and whether people come back, and to fix bugs. |
Hole High doesn't use any analytics, advertising or crash-reporting company. It doesn't track you across other apps or websites and doesn't sell or share your data. Your IP address reaches our host with every request, as it does with any internet service; we use it only to limit abuse and don't keep it in our database or usage events.
On iPhone, where the law requires it, the app asks Apple for your age range. The answer stays on your phone, is thrown away straight after, and is never sent to us.
WHAT OTHERS SEE
If you sign in, your Handle, Result and Ace count can appear on the public Boards. If you don't sign in, you never appear on them. Your anonymous Result still counts towards the "closer than X% of players" figure everyone sees, without anything that identifies you.
WHO PROCESSES IT
- Cloudflare hosts our server, database and usage events (Cloudflare Workers, D1 and Workers Analytics Engine) and processes them on our behalf.
- Apple, only if you use Sign in with Apple, under Apple's own privacy policy.
HOW LONG IT'S KEPT
- Your Profile, Handle, shots and Results are kept until you delete them.
- Usage events and error reports expire automatically after about 3 months.
- Database backups roll over within 30 days, so deleted data leaves them within 30 days too.
DELETING YOUR DATA
In the app, open Settings (the gear on the Today card) → Delete my data. This deletes your Profile, Handle, shots, Results and Aces from our server straight away, signs you out, and revokes Hole High's access to your Apple ID if you signed in with Apple. The app then starts afresh.
No longer have the app? Email support@pinhigh.fun with your Handle, and we'll delete your data within 30 days.
Usage events you've already sent can't be picked out and deleted one by one. Once your Profile is deleted they're tied to an ID nothing points to any more, and they expire within about 3 months.
YOUR RIGHTS
Wherever you live, you can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or its deletion, by emailing support@pinhigh.fun. If you're in the EU, the UK or a similar jurisdiction: we process your data because it's needed to provide the game you asked for (your Profile, shots and Results) and for our legitimate interests in keeping the game working and fair (usage events, error reports and anti-cheat checks). You can object to that processing, and you can complain to your data protection authority.
CHILDREN
Hole High is a general-audience game. It isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has signed in, email support@pinhigh.fun and we'll delete that Profile.
CHANGES
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. A significant change will also be mentioned in the app.
